Fred Penner in Concert by Ken Comment (0)

Hey guys,

Yesterday, Fred Penner was performing in Steinbach Manitoba and I got to meet Fred again after a long time. As always, Fred Penner rocked the stage with songs from way back when and also some of his new album "Where in the World"

I recorded the whole show and will be putting most of it on youtube.

Here is one song from Fred Penner for you to enjoy :-)

New KenSawatzky.com by admin Comment (0)

It has been a while since my site has been updated with content. You probably know how it goes. This and that comes up and before you can say meh, a month has gone by. I did have problems with the my previous website template so I decided to completely rebuild the page from scratch. Unfortunately I lost a lot of data and some of it was very valuable feedback in my guestbook. So, please leave me a note in my guestbook again.

I hope to be able to write more often and share my first days as a teacher with you.

What a great Christmas party at the Cancer Care Hospital. I was joining Fred Penner with a couple of songs and I will certainly never forget the smiles on the faces of the children.

Why, oh why Winnipeg? by admin Comment (0)

I can't remember how many times people have asked me this question. But I thought it might be good to try an answer this question once and for all. So, here it is. I'm in Winnipeg because ........ hmm I don't know.

Well, it's not like I dreamt my entire life of coming to Winnipeg. But I did want to come to Canada and since my family was living in Winnipeg, my lovely wife and I thought, ya Winnipeg sounds good.

And yes, the winters can be loooooooong but let's face it: It's much cooler here than in Paraguay. :-)

The last dream - but it is only the beginning by admin Comment (0)

On June 3rd, 2007 a publishing festival will be held in Hamburg at the Ohnsorg Theatre. My story "Tha last dream" is in the top 25 and will be published through Wachholtz. I'm also very excited to see my friends in Germany. This will be my first story that is published in a written format. Never did I suspect, where this low German language would direct me to.

Deutschland - Ich komme.

11,5 x 17,5 cm, 116 Seiten, gebundenNorddeutscher Rundfunk (Hrsg.)
